IIE Varsity College Requirement

To be able to study at the IIE Varsity College, you need to meet the following minimum requirements;

Higher Certificate

  • A minimum pass of 30% for English for NSC with higher certificate admission or 
  • A minimum pass of 40% in English for either additional language or home language  with a 30% pass in Maths or Mathematical literacy, 40% pass in Life Orientation and 50% pass in four other vocational subjects and that is for NC(V) with higher certificate admission
  • A minimum pass of 5 solid subjects that is if you are applying with a Senior Certificate without any endorsement

Diploma

  • A minimum pass of 30% for English and any two other subjects with a 40% pass of any three NSC subjects is for applicants applying with NSC with higher certificate admission
  • A minimum pass of 40% in English for either additional language or home language  with a 30% pass in Maths or Mathematical literacy, 40% pass in Life Orientation and 50% pass in four other vocational subjects and that is for NC(V) with higher certificate admission

Varsity College Application Fee

For Postgraduate, Parttime Undergraduate online students and Contact studies, the application fee to be paid is R250. When it comes to late degree applicants, the application fee is R1750 levied. Diploma and Higher Certificate Programmes on the other hand attract an application fee of R400. Applicants must remember that this fee is non-refundable and is needed to start the application process.
